Some of the symptoms of high blood pressure can include fatigue, headaches, nausea, and shortness of breath. In more severe cases people will experience nose bleeds, and blurred vision. There have been some cases where patients have suffered from brain damage, which causes the brain to swell and could also lead into a coma.

Your Energy Levels

Many people who suffer from Hypertension do not realize the symptoms and ignore many of them. Fatigue is one of these symptoms. When you have had a good night’s sleep, and still just as tired as you were before you went to bed; then this could be a sign of high blood pressure. If you have had a good night’s sleep and spend a few hours full of energy and all of a sudden you feel very tired and just want to lie down and take a nap; this could also be a good sign.

Headaches or Migraines

If you suffer from headaches or migraines regularly; this could be one of the symptoms of high blood pressure. These headaches are usually passed off as stress, whether it is stress on the job or at home, or even peer pressure from your school mates. However, if you continually have redness of your face more than normal, this could be associated with high blood pressure.

Other Symptoms to Look Out For

Another symptom can be a shortening of breath. Hypertension forces your heart to work harder because the blood vessels in your body have become clogged and it does not allow your blood to flow naturally.

Frequent nausea and vomiting also often symptoms of high blood pressure. In women, this is usually a symptom of pregnancy, however, it is always good to have a check up to find out if they are pregnant or if they have high blood pressure.
